Terry Valitchka March 1954 – March 2009

Sadly, our friend and fellow musher, Terry Valitchka passed away Sunday, March 1st.

Terry and his family were active in the Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club for years. Terry sold his dogs last year, but continued to act as Race Marshall for our races. How fortunate we are to have shared Terry's love of dogs, his dedication to our club and enthusiasm for the sport of racing sled dogs.

Traditional Funeral for family and friends: Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at 701 N. Baird St., Green Bay, WI 54302, Tuesday, March 3rd from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. Memorial service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home.

Additionally, there will be a Memorial Service to honor Terry at the Wisconsin Trailblazers Spring Banquet in May 2009. Details will be announced once they are complete.

The Wisconsin Mushing Community sends sincere condolences to Mary, Bear and their family as they go through this difficult time.
