Robert L. Kiesling Obituary

August 1945 - September 2009

Robert L. Kiesling passed away on September 22, 2009 from prostate cancer in Cedar Park, Texas with hisBob Kiesling family by his side. Bob was a retired Michigan educator and coach. Born on August 20, 1945 in Chicago, IL. Earned his B.S. at Eastern Michigan University in 1970 and furthered his education in distributive and special education. He coached high school sports for 30 years and served as President of the teachers union. He retired in 1999 with C.O.O.R Intermediate Schools. Served in the U.S. Navy and was a Member of the Masonic Order.

His passion and hobby was racing sled dogs.

Bob wanted to thank his closest friends, Ron and Judy Seifert, Lou and Jan Serre, Dan and Maggie Swiriduk, and Sandy Schreiber for their friendship, respect, and fun that we had over the years. We would also like to thank Steve and Judy Bergemann for keeping sled dog racing alive.

Bobís service will be held on October 18, 2009 in Round Rock, Texas. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Robert R. Kiesling, Attorney At Law, 503 W. 14th St., Austin, TX 78701. All donations will be given to the staff at hospice who took care of Bob in his final days.
