Kenny Harris Obituary

The Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Race lost one of it's original Race Officials on July 14, 2005.

Kenny Harris was the first Trail Boss for the TCSDR and the driving force behind the trail system that is known to the Mushers as the most beautiful in Michigan. Kenny was a transplanted "Yooper" from Ohio who added his demanding personality to the TCSDR from the start.

Kenny's wife, Mary Eleanor, was also an original race official and served as Official Race Timer for the beginning years. The two of them helped turn the TCSDR into the race it is becoming. Kenny will always be a part of the TCSDR and will be sincerely missed by all that knew and worked with him.
