Henry Csabak November 1, 1952 - September 20, 2006 Henry Csabak passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the age of 53 years old. Born on November 1, 1952 in Fort William, Ontario, Henry was a Westfort boy until his passion for racing sled dogs led him and his wife Debi to live the country life in Kakabeka Falls in 1997. Henry began his work career in the developmental services field while obtaining his teaching degree. After teaching elementary grades for 23 years with the Thunder Bay District Catholic School Board, Mr. C as known by his students decided to take an early retirement in 2003 at the age of fifty to enjoy his love of fitness in running, tennis and most of all his passion for his dogs and sled dog racing. Henry is survived by his rock and true love of his life his wife Debi. He is also survived by his parents Leon and Hildegard Csabak of Thunder Bay, his sister Ada Tuck of Vancouver, brothers Marian Csabak and wife Donna of Vancouver, Richard Csabak and wife Debbie of Winnipeg, his niece Jennifer Par of Vancouver and nephew Keith Csabak of Winnipeg. Also surviving him are his second family Frank and Elvie Maunula, Stephen and Susan, Rebecca and Andrea, Sharon and Erick, Michael, Tuula, Katrina, Liisa and Mikko. Henry was predeceased by his beloved Oma in 2001. Cremation has taken place and a private funeral service will be held. Arrangements are in care of the Westfort Chapel, 420 Gore Street West. Donations to Thunder Bay and District Humane Society or City of Thunder Bay Animal Services would be greatly appreciated.
