Michael Breeggemann June 5, 1977 - December 3, 2006 12/8/06 Michael Breeggemann, 29, of Sturgeon Lake, died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 3, 2006. He was born June 5, 1977, in Shakopee to Martin and Susan Breeggemann. Mike graduated from Willow River High School in 1996. He worked for 1 year at Team Industries in Cambridge before moving to Ely where attended Vermillion Community College for Wildland Firefighting. He was known as the kid who lived in the fish house in the winter. Mike worked with various forest services based in the western states, most recently a Wildland Firefighter for the US forest service in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Carson City, NV. He was Lead Crew for the Black Mountain Hotshots. Mike raced sled dogs during his high school years. He enjoyed muzzle loader hunting, ice-fishing, logging, Miller High Life (especially at Mikey's in Denham), 4-wheeling, reading, running, sending mail to his nieces from "Vada" and especially spending time with friends and family. Mike always dreamed and planned on making his property into "Birch Creek Buffalo Ranch". Mike was known for helping anyone in need. Mike raced dogs several years ago and most recently handled for Robyn Smith's team. He was Steve and Linda Hart's nephew.
