Looking for memorabilia relating to the K300
Association of Village Council Presidents and the Kuskokwim 300 Race Committee are proud to announce that they will be cosponsoring the next gallery exhibit at the Yupiit Piciryarait Museum. The exhibit will run from November 2013 through January 2014 and will focus on the history of the K300 Sled Dog Race, as well as the rich and vibrant history of dog mushing and dog sled racing on the YK Delta! In conjunction with the exhibit, there will be a special public opening ceremony held on November 15 at 6:00 at the YP Cultural Center which will include music, stories, food and fun for the whole family. Additionally, both groups are looking for more artifacts to include in the exhibit. If you or anyone you know has any pictures, objects or memorabilia relating to the K300, dog mushing or any local races - please feel free to contact Eva Malvich at 907.543.1819. For more information regarding this exhibit or the K300 - please contact Race Manager, Zach Fansler at 907.545.3300. top of page | home | feedback | search |
