Kicking up the snow!
Steve and I are pleased to announce that Sled Dog Central is now under the management/ownership of Richard and Maud Hancock. Not only is Richard personally involved in sled dog racing, but he's a tech wiz who will bring Sled Dog Central into the 21st century! I'm sure you'll see lots of improvements in site performance and new features including social media. The Sled Dog Central community has been part of our lives every day for the last 18 years. Things have changed a lot over that time and we enjoyed keeping you up to date on news and information on this wonderful sport. We're going to miss it greatly, but you're in good hands! Thanks to everyone who advertised, contributed and visited SDC over the years! It was great working with you and we value the many friends we have made on and off the trails. Hello, my name is Richard Hancock, as a youth I was involved with sled dog racing because my parents got involved with the sport when I was very young. I love the bond that is built between you and the dogs as they trust you and you trust them on the trail. Over ten years ago I found myself in the sport once again. I am always amazed at what these dogs can do. I am a computer programmer by profession and look forward to the opportunity to combine two things I enjoy, the sport of sled dog racing and programming. My wife, Maud, and I are grateful for the opportunity Steve and Judy have given to us. We recognize the hard work they have done to make Sled Dog Central a great resource.
