Experience: Sled dogs isn't just a hobby or a recreation. Its a way of
life, it is life. Without it how can we breathe, eat, sleep. I mean, why work if
you're not using that money to feed and clothe the dogs? We run Alaskan Huskies,
have for about ten years (in this life). We train/race for mid-distance, place
respectably, and always know where our lead dogs are going to take us.

Experience: I've been running dogs since 1998. I run a team
of Alaskan Malamutes. We’ve done weight pulls in the past but now we
primarily do a few Mid Distance races a year and operate a sled dog
rides/tours business. Happy to run with anyone…newcomers, veterans,
etc. I look at things as if we always have
something to learn. We camp with our dogs in the fall and winter. We don’t
win any races but we always finish strong and have a fun time out on the
trail

Experience: I am a junior musher and have actually been involved in the

3-4 years have I gotten really "serious". I'm sixteen and open to share stories,

Will mentor by: e-mail, phone and in person
Will mentor in: distance, recreation, sprint and general
E-mail address: sledrider2@hotmail.com
Phone: 253-227-2010
Experience: Hi, I would be glad to help any folks that want to "learn."
I have been running sleddogs for 20 yrs. I have weight pulled dogs and trained them as a
team. I posses 2 international medals and over 20 regional medals and my dogs held records
for years. I have been running Alaskans for 10 yrs now and dwell primarily on
distance type training. I am the cart king! I can ride like no one else I know. I like
carts the best. Takes more control training but the results are quite rewarding, not to
mention the variety of areas it opens your riding up to. The name of the game is to have
fun. Well trained dogs have the most fun!! Jim Welsh once said "there is no better
feeling than riding on a fast well trained and conditioned team. A privilege few will ever
get to know". It is a feeling I know well. You can too!
