Experience: I have been running sled dogs since 1977, getting serious with the
addition of my wife in 1989. We have 23 adult Alaskan Huskies, 10 yearlings and 2
puppies. I have raced the Empire, Esslinger, Mid-Minnesota, Up200, Wildcat Marathon,
Iditarod, and the Beargrease 11 times. My wife has raced the Empire, Mid-Minnesota, UP
200, Beargrease mid-distance, and Hinckley stage race. Our main goal is to race a happy
dog team. We have received the "best cared for" team award three times. At our

a very successful career. We have raced in the John Beargrease Marathon, 190 and 100, UP
200 and Midnight Run and also many other races. We have been honored with receiving
the Best Cared For Team award four times. Our kennel is relatively small , but our
philosophy is, it is better to have Quality dogs and take care of them properly than to

I frequently handle for private dog sledding outfitters, at races in the Midwest and Alaska; historically as a "Pee team" specimen collector for the Iditarod. Siberian Huskies for over 30 years. We've raced all sprint classes as well as
middle distance events including a triathlon. We were involved in the production of
the Iron Will movie - Ann as a full-time trainer - as well as providing dogs for the hero
