2008 IPSSSDR Storm
Photos Go to International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race web site » January 28, 2008 - Ground Blizzard Shortens Stage 3 January 28, 2008 - "This is epic! This is the first time in the 13 year history of the IPSSSDR that the course had to be stopped short in the middle of the race due to safety concerns. These mushers were enduring 60 plus mile per hour winds and a total whiteout at road crossings. It got really western out there. The race goes on and the clock is still ticking…" -Frank Teasley, Race Director, commenting on the abrupt change to Stage 3’s course.
