It may be a little soon for Santa to think about dashing through the snow, but for one man it's both a hobby and a career, and not just during the holiday season.
Longtime Alaskan musher Hugh Neff joined Grandview Elementary school students on Friday morning, a two-time Yukon Quest Champion and Iditarod musher himself, Neff has done races between 30 to a thousand miles long.
Neff spent the time with students discussing his love for the job, Alaska, and even more important, teaching a lesson on chasing your dreams.
Neff says, "Realize that life isn't a piece of cake all the time. We have a roller coaster ride but learn from the tough times and enjoy the good times while they're happening. Because everyday is different. You just have to have a passion for what you're doing; realize it's not about winning -- it's about doing the best you can do, being considerate and kind to folks around you."
