Rookie Iditarod musher Kaci Murringer wins Red Lantern Award

Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race rookie Kaci Murringer of Willow was the final musher to cross the finish line in Nome, claiming the Red Lantern Award.

Race officials said Murringer, bib 57, completed the Iditarod in 13 days, 22 hours, 29 minutes and 45 seconds. She had 10 dogs in harness when she arrived under the burled arch at 12:29 p.m. Sunday.
