New Members Elected to Yukon Quest Boards
The Yukon and Alaska Annual General Membership meetings were held recently for the Yukon Quest 1,000 Mile International Sled Dog Race.
On May 23rd, the Yukon AGM was held in Whitehorse where three directors were elected to the Board of Directors. Dana Robertson, Nikole Wlasichuk, and Amélie Druillet join Bev Regier, Sabine Morehouse, Geoff Kooy, and Anne Taylor.
Dana Robertson has followed the race for several years and is eager to see the race and
the musher community continue to grow. Robertson brings many years of Board experience through both the Association of Administration Assistants and the Canmore Highland Games.
With her first experience with the race being as the 2019 QuestFest Event Manager, Nickole Wlasichuk is now hooked. She is looking forward to bringing her ample fundraising and event planning experience to help the race and the mushing community.
Amélie Druillet has volunteered for the race for the past four years and is looking forward to supporting in an even larger way moving forward. With strong organizational and event planning skills, along with speaking both French and English, Druillet will be a great asset to the Board of Directors.
