SDC 2002: Willow Winter Carnival Weight Pull

Conditions:
Pad, clear ice (frozen water in a square of 8x8 ft). Track, hard packed snow.
Weather, snow turning in icy rain with temperatures around +10 F.
The Judge declared the track being definitely uphill this year.

SPONSORS WERE: Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union; Valley Feed and Seed; Spenard Builder's Supply; WACO; AK9WPA; IAMS; Bella Vista, Peters Creek.

NOTES: The purse was $2000.- ($1500 in cash, $500 in dog food) The split was 50/30/20% for 1st/2nd/3rd and dog food for the first 4 places of each division. The 'Pound for Pound' winner got $40. and the Best Novice Dog got a gift certificate. Everybody attending the awards ceremony got gift certificates for dog bisquits.

After reaching 2300# all the weights were used up and then people were used as weight up to the final 3995#.
