Two new track records where posted when Montana Creek Dog Musher Association held its 4th Point Race Saturday 13th of December.

With temperatures around zero F and light snow in the air it was a perfect day for dog mushing. Brenda Nicoli, Nenana once again posted the fastest time in the 4-dog class and today she set a new track record.

Debbie Duncan from Willow raced to a second place in the 4 dog, beaten by Brenda with 27 seconds. Debbie Duncan also won the 6-dog class with a run nine seconds faster than Christian Taveau.

Christian was not too disappointed with the results in the 6-dog class after he showed that he has more fast dogs and posted the fastest time in 8 dog and a forth place in the open class. Dori Hollingsworth of Seward, had a strong team and finished second in the 8-dog class, 53 seconds after Christian Taveau. Brenda Nicoli finished in third place.

In the open class eight teams started out on the 9-mile long trail. Fastest team today, just like last Saturday, was Darryl Hollingsworth of Seward. Today he set a new track record with his string of 12 dogs. Bill Kornmuller, Willow, came in second with a 20-dog team and Egil Ellis, Willow, took a third place with his 14-dog team.

JP Norris, Willow, races pure bred Siberian Huskies.	Brenda Nicoli, Nenana, set a new track record in the 4 dog class.	Egil Ellis, Willow, started out with a 14 dog team in the open class.	Open Class hookup area.
Montana Creek Dog Musher Assn. has a real nice club house, heated by wood. Everyone attending the race can come in and buy coffee, muffins and just mingle with all mushers at the race.
