SDC: 2001 Battle Axe Open Results

Conditions:
Under overcast skies the mushers were exposed to Saturday temperatures of 6 degrees. The trail conditions for the 1st day of racing provided a hard base and the trail was very demanding due to severe wind and snowfall that had come through the area on Friday evening.

Sunday temperatures were a warm 15 degrees and under clear skies the mushers experienced excellent trail conditions. Several comments were received that the trail layout was exciting to maneuver and beautiful to watch.
